Town of Milan Monthly Meeting Minutes, February 14, 2022

Meeting called to order by President, Deborah Shumate, on Monday Feb. 14, 2022 at 6:30pm. All Present joined in giving the pledge of Allegiance. All council members present.

Minutes of January meetings were presented to Council. Minutes were approved as written. Deb Shumate made the motion to approve with Drew Olman seconding. All ayes. Minutes approved. Minutes from Jan. 17, 2022 were approved by a motion from Mark and a second by Debby.

Claims/Financial's/Payroll: After review of the claims presented, motion to accept and pay claims made by Mark, seconded by Drew Olman. All Ayes. Motion carried.

Town Report: Same presented by Doug Price. Doug asked council to approve hiring someone to find water leak. This would be paid out of water. Council informed him, he has the discretion to spend up to $3000.00 without Council approval.

Town Marshall's Report: Same presented by Marshal Wilson.

Milan Park Board Report: No report.

New Business: Solicitation request for Summer Baseball and Nancy Hershman scholarship were approved by a motion from Mark and a second from Drew. This vote, also, waived fees as long as rules are followed.

Doug Price asked Council's approval, on behalf of the 54 Museum, to block the street for the dedication ceremony on Mar. 26. Mark made motion to approve and Drew seconded. All ayes.

Council appointed Doug Price to the Area Planning by a motion from Drew and a second from Mark. All ayes.

Old/Continuing Business: None.

Miscellaneous Business: Paula Cole asked Council to install handicap parking signs at her residence at 101 W Carr. Attorney Lynn Fledderman informed Council that this would require an Ordinance. Jane Vinup stated that the Town Hall, also, needs a handicap spot. Council tabled request until next meeting.

Drew made motion to adjourn, Mark seconded. All ayes. Motion carried.
