Meeting called to order by Deborah Shumate, Council President, on Monday Aug. 9, 2021 at 6:30pm. All Present joined in giving the pledge of Allegiance. Mark Marsee and Deborah Shumate were present as council.
Minutes of July meetings were presented. Minutes were approved as written. Mark making the motion with Debbie Shumate seconding. All ayes.
Claims/Financials/Payroll: After review of the claims/payroll presented, motion to accept and pay claims made by Mark Marsee, seconded by Deborah Shumate. All Ayes. Motion carried.
Town Report: Same presented by Doug Price.
Town Marshall's Report: Same presented by Phillip Wilson.
Milan Park Board Report: No report
Concerns/Comments from the public: Janie Vinup wanted to know if her building was going to be cleaned up, there is cement on it from the sidewalks being poured. Doug will talk to the guys working on the sidewalks. She asked when the street will be finished. Doug will contact them.
Deanna Demotte wanted clarification on the ordinance concerning shooting guns within town limits. She was instructed to contact authorities if she encounters someone doing this. She, also, had questions about setting off fireworks.
Melissa Teer announced that a committee has chosen to take over the 4th of July fireworks. They have opened an account and will be working to raise money. Sally Gosmeyer wondered if the money was still in the account from past fireworks. She was told that the money was still available and would be given to the fund.
Old Business: Debbie gave an update on the continuing dog problem on Main Street. She assured everyone that things are in the process to take care of the situation.
Lake clean up was addressed. Waiting on permits.
New Business: Riverboat funds were discussed and Civista Bank will help provide option for investments.
Debbie gave an update on property clean up and removing abandoned vehicles. Larry Eaton will help with both.

Executive meeting was held 8/9/2021 at the Milan Town Hall at 5:30 p.m.
Deborah Shumate and Mark Marsee were council members present.
This meeting was held to discuss Town issues.
