- Indiana will be celebrating it's Bicentennial throughout 2016 with many different projects, including a 92 county Torch Relay.

When is Statehood Day?
Statehood is celebrated on December 11th.

What are the ongoing projects?
Bicentennial Legacy Projects are community efforts and projects that are established
to celebrate the Bicentennial while providing guidelines for the future. "In communities across the state, many people are excited and ready to honor our state’s history. What is the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay?
The Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay is designed to inspire and unify Hoosiers as one of the major commemorative events of the 2016 Bicentennial celebration.
Hoosiers will also symbolically "pass the torch" connecting generations to IGNITE our future.
*2,300 mile journey across the state traveling through 92 counties
*The Torch Relay will begin in Corydon, the state’s first capital, and culminate in Indianapolis on the Statehouse Grounds
*Starts on September 9, 2016 and ends October 15, 2016
